Quality Manager & Inspector
This is a pivotal and rewarding role in a fast-growing part of the highly regarded and established company, R Winter Tooling.
In addition to their existing specialist and bespoke work, R Winter Tooling decided four years ago, to set up a production side to the business specialising in small and medium precision quantity work for high tolerance parts to the Military and Marine industries and now growth within the Automotive sector.
Due to the significant success and momentum of this side to the business, the company is looking for a key individual to be part of the team, to help continue to drive this side of the business forward.
The role:

You will have the ability as a Quality/Inspection Manager to understand full technical drawings including GD&T and the use of CAD for inspection purposes. Conversant with FAI Standard: AS9102.

Be able to use a Mitutoyo Crysta CMM (1`600 X 900 X 800 measuring area) and an S544 (500 X 400 x 400) that is being installed both with MCOSMOS 3.5 R6 & CAT 1000 PS software for F.A.I and full inspection reports and be familiar with the protocol of sending this information relative to the work.

Be responsible for the QMS and ISO 9001 side of the business.

Liaise with the Works Manager and shop floor to help organise the scheduling of work flow for the inspection and quality aspect of the business.

Familiar with finishing processes (Hard Anodising, Plating, Painting etc) and materials especially in a Military criteria would be a useful addition of skills.

To organise the delivery of parts and paper work to the criteria of the customer.

The company offers 39 hours/week plus overtime, 25 days holiday and the government pension scheme. Rates of pay will be based on the candidates experience.
CNC Miller/Turner – setter/operator
​
An opportunity has arisen within R Winter Tooling for a CNC Miller - setter/operator.
The successful candidate will be involved in producing small batch work to suit our customer base in the Aerospace, Military and Automotive industries. The candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery liaising with the offline programmers.

We are looking for a CNC Miller/Tuner – setter/operator who ideally has the following skills:

Experience of setting & operating 3 & 5 Axis CNC Mills and lahtes (training will be provided if required).

Familiar with the use of Fanuc, Mazatrol & Heidenhain (training will be provided if required).

Basic TNC control programming experience advantageous.

Off line CAM experience advantageous.

Have a good understanding of engineering drawings.

Competent using measurement equipment (i.e. Vernier’s, Bore Micrometers, etc)

Understanding of calculating speeds and feeds to the relative material being cut.

Adjusting tool compensations where required.

Good eye for detail in quality.

Must be a proactive team player, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
